Chairman’s Welcome
It gives me immense pleasure in welcoming you to Vijay Institute of Management. Our committed, highly intellectual faculty and extremely competent supporting professional staff, aims to provide an excellent platform for enhancing their knowledge base, skills and personality to accept the challenges and changes in the corporate world.
Analyzing and understanding the emerging challenges is the prime function of today’s managers. Born from a small village “Chinnalapatty” close to Dindigul, brought up in a very rural environment where even basic amenities are infact rare to find. What strive and prevail in my mind is determination, to do something back to the society where my root belongs to.
Did all schooling in this village, very average or rather poor in my studies, just touching threshold of “Pass” marks. Undergone severe traumas, insult and failure which never put me down, took everything as experiences and made as stepping stone for moving forward.
Studied BSc, MSc from Indian Universities and again not brilliantly scored, touching bank of the river, survived. Not finding breakthrough in the career, decided to pursue, PG in computer science at Madras Christian College (MCC), which makes me to aware of “Urban” culture, rather eye opener to the “new world”.
Finally, “Breaking the Ice”, got into a 8 people company as “Asst Engineer” as I am always fascinated by technology and took this opportunity to grow and reached the helm of success as Asst Vice President in 400 People Company. While working, pursued MBA and climbing up from threshold level to first class grade.
Moved to Netherlands and worked with many corporate like Philips, IBM, SIEMENS, and ASML more than a decade. This overseas experience brings a lot of confidence and a huge shift in paradigm towards the needs and life of the society.
As again, while working in Netherlands carried out Global MBA Education from Webster University, USA and earned A+ (92%) grade.
Proud and privileged to mention here that I hold many international patents in Software, Entertainment sector where innovations are primarily on concepts.
Looking back, learned a lot, and giving back to the “Rural” community where my root is by providing experiences, quality education and excellent platform.
